An Ahmedabad business owner was advised to add a second "h" to her surname β from Priya Shah to Priya Shahh. Because she signs on GST filings, a current bank account and property papers, a mismatch here would have been genuinely disruptive at her next KYC or a property transaction. She published the change through the Gazette first, then updated her PAN and Aadhaar, and only then approached her bank and the GST record with the Gazette as proof β in that order, so nothing was ever left disagreeing.
