A SIM held in a name that differs from your Aadhaar can complicate re-KYC or a port request. Here's how to resolve it.
Mobile connections are KYC-verified against your identity document, usually Aadhaar. When a SIM is held in an old or differing name β a maiden name after marriage, or a spelling difference β a re-KYC, ownership change or port request can flag a mismatch that needs the records aligned.
See Aadhaar name correction and name change after marriage; each operator applies its own KYC rules.
Tell us what your Aadhaar and connection show, and we'll advise the order to align them so re-KYC clears.
