UIDAI permits only a limited number of name updates on an Aadhaar record. In practice this means you cannot keep changing the name repeatedly. For a full name change, a Gujarat Gazette notification is commonly submitted as the proof of identity within the permitted updates.

A minor correction (a wrong spelling) is different from a full name change. For a small correction, a document you already hold may be enough at an enrolment centre. For a complete change of name, UIDAI generally looks for recognised proof of identity such as a Gazette notification.
