Your OCI card, passport and Indian records need one consistent name. Here's how we establish it β remotely if you're abroad β and how the OCI update fits.
If you hold an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card and your name has changed β after marriage, or by a formal change in India or abroad β your OCI card and the passport it's linked to need to reflect one consistent name. Because the OCI is issued by Indian authorities (through the Ministry / consular system) and tied to your passport, getting the underlying name change documented correctly is the key first step.
*All-inclusive of the standard documentation. Newspaper advertisement charges are separate and always disclosed before work begins. The only difference between the plans is processing time.
Living abroad? The documentation can be handled remotely. Tell us where you'll use the name change β including any overseas requirement β before we draft, so it's prepared correctly the first time. See also NRI name change and the complete guide.
