Devbhumi Dwarka occupies the far western tip of the Saurashtra peninsula, its identity shaped by the Dwarkadhish temple — one of Hinduism's holiest sites — the pilgrim island of Beyt Dwarka, and the working port of Okha. Headquartered at Khambhalia, it is a coastal district of fishing communities, temple economy and, increasingly, industry drawn by the nearby Jamnagar refinery belt.
